Terms of Service
Effective June 2026. These terms apply to all use of our website and services.
These terms are written in plain language. They explain what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and the ground rules for using Lougheed Laundry. By booking a pickup — online, by text, or at the door — you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Lougheed Laundry is a local family laundry pickup and delivery service operating in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia. Our registered business information is available on request. Our website is lougheedlaundry.ca.
You can reach us at 236-304-6737 (text preferred) or contact@lougheedlaundry.ca.
Agreement to terms
By booking a pickup through our website, by text, or in person, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Laundry Care Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use our service — we'd rather you be sure than surprised.
These terms form the complete agreement between you and Lougheed Laundry for the services we provide. If we ever update them, the version that was in place at the time of your booking is the one that applies to that order.
Our service
We offer laundry pickup and delivery for the Lower Mainland, BC. Depending on your order, this can include wash, dry, and fold service; hung garment cleaning; dry cleaning through our partner cleaners; and bulky item cleaning.
We collect your laundry, sort it, clean it according to your preferences, and return it to your door. Full details on how we handle your items — including what we're responsible for and what we're not — are in our Laundry Care Policy, which is part of this agreement.
We reserve the right to decline any order or any item that we can't safely service. We'll always let you know if that happens.
Eligibility
Our service is available to residents of the Lower Mainland, BC who are 18 years of age or older. By booking, you confirm that you're an adult and that the address you're booking for is within our service area.
Not sure if we serve your area? Check our service areas page or text us at 236-304-6737.
Booking and cancellation
You can book a pickup through our website, by text, or by calling us. After you book, we'll confirm your pickup window by text.
Need to cancel or reschedule? Just text us. We ask that you let us know by 6 pm the evening before your scheduled pickup. Last-minute cancellations (after 6 pm the night before) or missed pickups where we've already sent a driver may incur a small inconvenience fee — we'll always be upfront about this before charging anything.
Subscription customers: Skip a pickup by texting us before 6 pm the day prior. Unused subscription pickups roll over one month. See Section 10 of our Laundry Care Policy for subscription details.
Payment
We confirm your total by text after we collect and sort your order — before we process any payment. You'll always know what you owe before your card is charged.
Payment is due on or before delivery. We accept payment via Stripe payment links (credit and debit cards), and any other methods we offer at the time of your order. We don't store your card details — all payment processing is handled by Stripe.
All prices are in Canadian dollars and include applicable taxes. Current pricing is listed at lougheedlaundry.ca/pricing.
We don't require upfront payment before pickup. If you have questions about your invoice, just reply to our text and we'll sort it out.
Prohibited items
Please don't send us:
- Biohazardous items — including items with significant pet or human waste, chemical contamination, or medical waste. Our cleaning partners will refuse these items and a handling fee may apply.
- Illegal items — anything illegal under Canadian law, including controlled substances.
- Items requiring specialized handling that we've told you we're not able to accommodate.
- Valuables beyond clothing — please don't leave cash, jewellery, or other valuables in pockets or mixed in with laundry. We do a quick pocket check but aren't responsible for items found or lost in pockets.
If we discover prohibited items, we'll contact you immediately and, where required by law, cooperate with authorities.
Damage and liability
Our full damage policy — including what's covered, what's not, our care guarantee for everyday items, and our policy on valuable items — is set out in our Laundry Care Policy. That policy is incorporated into these terms and forms part of your agreement with us.
Claims must be made within 48 hours of delivery, with photos. We're a family business and we take every claim seriously.
Intellectual property
Everything on our website — the text, design, photos, and branding — belongs to Lougheed Laundry. You're welcome to share links to our pages, but please don't copy, reproduce, or repurpose our content without asking us first.
"Lougheed Laundry" and our logo are our own. If you'd like to feature us in a review, blog, or social post, we'd love that — just don't imply we've endorsed anything we haven't.
Limitation of liability
We provide our service with care, but things can occasionally go wrong. To the extent permitted by the laws of British Columbia:
- Our total liability to you for any single order is limited to the amounts set out in our Laundry Care Policy.
- We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (for example, needing to replace a garment needed for an event).
- We're not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including weather, road closures, or supplier issues — though we'll always communicate and work to reschedule promptly.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under BC law, including liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable in BC. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia. We're a local business — we'd much rather talk through any issue directly before it gets to that point.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. The version in place at the time of your booking is the one that applies to that order. We'll give subscribers advance notice of material changes by text or email.
